Registration for the 2010 Winter Celebration Faerie Academy workshops is now open. These classes are a rare opportunity to learn from Faerieworlds artists and performers in an intimate setting. This year's academy classes will take place at the Lane Events Center in Meeting Room #2. Class spaces are very limited so register now and be part of the magic! LEAF MASK MAKING - Toby Froud
This workshop will use Greenman / leaf mask imagery in a personal exploration of the seasonal faces of the spirit of the forest. After a short, guided meditation contacting personal and individual forest spirit images, we will make foliate masks reflecting those images. Toby will both help each individual in the mask making process and will bring examples of his work using foliate images and leaf masks. No experience of meditation or mask making is needed.

MAKING BEADED FAERIE STARS - Dancing Hands
An experienced bead designer of over 30 years and bead store owner, Dancing Hands will share her techniques and secret to making beaded Faerie Stars. These stars will be used to make willow wands in class, or participants may choose to keep the star for a car decoration or window hanging. Students will use semi precious stone beads (amethyst, rose quartz, citrine, clear quartz), Swarovski crystals, and czech beads, both new and antique. Beginning beaders welcome; all materials are included.
