SOLAS
The beautiful and inspiring music of Solas will grace the Faerieworlds main-stage for the first time this year. Solas is a Faerie favorite, with a variety of folkloric and mythic songs, and masterful jigs and reels. In addition to their amazing original pieces, they interpret a wide range of contemporary material; making explicit the connections with the deep, ultimately Celtic roots of American music.

Solas will perform on Saturday at Faerieworlds and Seamus Egan will also perform as part of the Johnny Cunningham Memorial on Saturday.

Susan McKeown

Susan McKeown and Aidan Brennan
"One of the most powerful and distinctive voices in Irish music"
-THE IRISH VOICE .
Susan McKeown
is from Dublin, Ireland. Here is a remarkable vocalist, who has not only established herself as an interpreter of traditional song, but as a woman who rocks. Her performance with Johnny Cunningham was central to the beauty of last years Faerieworlds Festival in Sedona, AZ.

Aidan Brennan is a phenomenal guitarist from Ireland. He has recorded on various albums including Loreena McKennitts "Book of Secrets" and "Peter and Wendy" with Johnny Cunningham. For the last several years Susan and Aidan have recorded and toured with Johnny on the annual Winter Talisman Tour, and on the Obie award-winning play Peter and Wendy. They will part of the Johnny Memorial on Saturday and will perform a different set on Sunday as well.

PHIL CUNNINGHAM
At sixteen, Phil joined his brother Johnny in the highly acclaimed Scottish band 'Silly Wizard' and was a full-time member of the band from 1976 to 1983, with the band developing into a musical force renowned not only in their native Scotland, but also in the rest of Europe, Canada and the United States. The band's reputation was established by their performance of exclusively traditional material, and to this Phil added many compositions of his own, adding to the musical heritage of Scotland and keeping the tradition alive.

It is an honor to have Phil Cunnigham be part of Faerieworlds this year. Phil will be arranging and creating the tribute to Johnny along with Susan McKeown.

WOODLAND
Woodlands music is inspired directly by the realm of Faerie. Their songs explore the landscapes of Faerie, with mythical lyrics and ancient melodies. For three years Woodland has helped to create and produce the Faerieworlds Festival with Robert Gould of IMAGINOSIS.

After sharing the mainstage at last years Faerieworlds festival, Woodland had just performed two shows with Johnny and Susan in the Fall of 2003 before his passing. Woodland and Imaginosis came together this year to create this event and memorial for Johnny Cunningham, who was set to produce a new collaborative project with Woodland and the Frouds when he departed this past December. Their set of Faerie dance songs will feature the World of Froud Digital Faerie Lightshow on Saturday evening.

TRILLIAN GREEN

"Trillian Greene is the best music ever. The sounds of the cello and the drums put you in a trance like state. It makes you want to go into the forest and sleep under a log. I highly recomend it! "
- Review Amazon.com

For years, Trillian Green dazzled audiences with their raw acoustic tantric-trance music. The trio, comprising of cello, flute and percussion have the ability to lock into hypnotic melodic grooves, invoking knotwork rhythmic patterns with their ecstatic tones. Their music inspires the landscapes of the otherworld. After many years apart, Trillian Green will perform a first-time reunion concert at Faerieworlds this year on Sunday

CASEY NEILL

"While Casey Neill's muscular tales of love and rambling clearly follow a Celtic blueprint, he belts it out American style. With a clear lyrical vision of the West, Neill stands as an admirable exponent of a deep tradition."
      - Zach Dundas, Willamette Week

Casey Neill is a singer/songwriter whose style fuses American rootsrock and celtic influences with original lyricism. Casy was perfoming and recording with Johnny Cunningham in New York over the last few years, and will be part of the memorial for Johnny. Casey also performed for Julia Butterfly during her tree-sit in Luna. Casey has been a featured performer at festivals and events throughout the northwest for many years, and will perform on Saturday at the Faerieworlds Festival.
