FAERIEWORLDS: LEAVING A SOFT FOOTPRINT

Faerieworlds 2009 represents an exciting new beginning for all of us: we have a new home in beautiful Buford Park at Mount Pisgah. We are now on public land, managed by the Lane Country Parks and Recreation who are very excited about Faerieworlds coming to Mount Pisgah's Buford Park.

As you know, we are passionate about making Faerieworlds a “zero impact / soft footprint / eco-conscious” event. This has never been more important than this year. Let’s all work together to be the ideal custodians of the beautiful land of Mount Pisgah. Please help us realize our mission as never before by respecting the land and leaving the Park in the pristine condition we found it. This year Faerieworlds will be fulfiling this mission by utilizing:

• 100% Green Electrical Power provided by Sequential Biofuels throughout Event
• Event Promotions and Brochures printed on 100% recycled stock with Soy Inks
• Organic and Primarily Vegetarian Food Vendors
• Exclusive Use of Biodegradable Foodwares
• Utilization of web-based Rideshare and Spaceshare programs
• Onsite Composting
• Onsite Glass, Plastic and Paper Recycling Program
• Refill stations for personal water bottles
• Local and Organic Hospitality Area for Guests

Additionally we have donated thousands of dollars to various
ecological and educational organizations including:

Mountain Oak School - Prescott, Arizona
The Wildlife Center - Espanola, New Mexico
Terra Rosa School - Sedona, Arizona
Circle of Life Foundation - Oakland, California
Spiral Scouts - Eugene, Oregon
The Family School - Eugene, Oregon

This year we will be making our donation to:
MOUNT PISGAH ARBORETUM
FRIENDS OF BUFORD PARK

If any event producers would like more information on sources for compostable foodwares, or Rideshare programs, or any other alternative technologies that would support a healthier event, please feel free to write us at info@faerieworlds.com

We'll see you this summer in the realm of Faerieworlds!
