FRIDAY JANUARY 30TH: GOOD FAERIES NIGHT

WOODLAND
Woodland is an original mythic ensemble featuring the songwriting and poetic harmonies of Kelly and Emilio Miller-Lopez. For more than seven years Woodland has enchanted audiences throughout the US and Europe with a unique blend of original and traditional melodies woven with ornate and meaningful bardic poetry. Woodland’s debut album Twilight, which features the Faerie artwork of internationally best-selling artist Brian Froud, is a musical exploration of the realm of Faerie.

Kelly Miller-Lopez is featured on the harp, flutes, percussion and lead vocals, with principle songwriter Emilio Miller-Lopez featured on guitar and harmony vocals. Fiddler Kimmy Smith joins Emilio and Kelly to enhance the melodic power of the group, weaving harmonic patterns with Emilio’s electric and acoustic guitar melodies. Woodland’s powerful rhythm section includes bassist and didgeridoo player Donald Brodsky and drummer and percussionist Jarrod Kaplan(of Cirque Du Soleil and Trillian Green). Woodland's immersive concert's are a celebration of faerie and nature itself, with a devout fanbase arriving at their shows in full faerie regalia to dance and spin into the night.

Woodland will headline Good Faeries Night at the McDonald Theatre, accompanied by Brian Froud's Good Faeries lightshow.

TRILLIAN GREEN
For yea
rs, Trillian Green dazzled audiences with their raw acoustic psycho-tantric dance music. The trio is comprised of Christine Gunn on cello, Ben Klein on flute, and Jarrod Kaplan on percussion

Founded on the wooded trails of the Oregon Country Fair in the early 90's, Trillian Green is known for their ability to inspire audiences to get up and stomp wildly to their energized celto-tribal acoustic sounds.

Trillian Green will play a featured set on Good Faeries night accompanied by Jen Delyth's Celtic Folk Soul lightshow.

"The cello, flute, and percussion danced across the stage lit by three candelabras... The flute was given new dimension and depth with the undertones of the cello... Add the percussion, and you get a musical ensemble that’s skill is only surpassed by their enthusiasm. If I had to pick one word to describe the entire evening, it would be fervor."
