Greetings Friends,

Faerieworlds 2010 was without a doubt our biggest, most magical and completely transformative event to date. Over the last week we have been flooded with overwhelmingly positive responses via email, Facebook posts and direct calls to our office from our guests, vendors, artists, musicians and attendees. Thank you to everyone who came out on a gorgeous Oregon summer weekend in your extraordinary costumes to enjoy the festival. More than ever before, YOU made Faerieworlds the one of a kind event that it is:
truly, there is only one Faerieworlds!

Beyond the great music line up which many commented was the best of all the northwest summer festivals, many of our guests also told us that Faerieworlds is also their favorite annual shopping destination, with a diverse array of amazing clothing, jewelry, arts and crafts that you can't find anywhere else. Everyone also loved Inner Circle Camping and
our new site design really succeeded in creating an intimate, "village" feel among our vendor booths, especially after Main Stage shut down.

Friends gathered under the Casbah tent, inside the immense glowing pyramid, at the Neverworlds stage, or around the Inner Circle campfire as the music of drums, flutes. pipes and guitars drifted through the woods and over the fields. We also got rave reviews from our "landlord" Lane County Parks and the Fire Department. And thank you all for heeding our "zero impact" goal and keeping the event grounds so clean. It was so great to walk the site on Monday night and see virtually NOTHING on the ground!

We are so grateful for all of the imagination, creativity and passion our guests bring to the event every year; check our Faerieworlds Group page on Facebook to see literally thousands of pictures and posts. It was such a joy for all of us to walk through the Village day or night and see so many happy and smiling people of all ages: families, friends, teens. children and adults all enjoying the same event. Clearly, everyone felt they had found a home, a welcoming place of inspiration and fun where they could freely portray their "magical" selves: who they feel they really are on the inside. We are very honored to create the place for all of these tribes to gather and celebrate together. The Stones at the heart of the event field are a testament and monument to our shared spirit and even now are standing in silent vigil awaiting our return next year.

For us, Faerieworlds 2010 was - and is - the beginning of a new era. The doors to the Realm closed only a week ago but we have already begun plans to continue to develop and improve next year's event and those for years to come. Our vision for Faerieworlds is bold and expansive; each year, together, we will continue it's magical evolution; together, we will continue to create something extraordinary!

Now the Realm moves East to FaerieCon in Baltimore, MD on November 12 - 14. If you want to engage once again with the Magic or if you could not attend Faerieworlds, FaerieCon is the next place to be: It's the largest gathering of faerie and fantasy authors in the world and features the Good Faeries and Bad Faeries Masquerade Balls with performances by Faun, Cecile Corbel, Woodland and Gypsy Nomads.
